Parking Details for Thursday Night SMU Game

HOUSTON - The University of Houston will receive national exposure as Houston faces in-state rival SMU on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. in a game that will be televised by ESPN2. With classes in session, entry in a limited number of game day lots is being slightly delayed and Houston fans wearing red will be allowed to ride METRORail free Thursday.
Fans attending the game are encouraged to travel to TDECU Stadium via the METRORail new Purple Line to avoid traffic congestion and arrive at the TDECU Stadium stop quickly. A limited amount of parking will be available free at the Palm Center Transit Center (5400 Griggs Road) to the south as fans can also ride to TDECU Stadium from the north via downtown Houston stops.

Only blue lots, cash lots and half of yellow lot 15C will be delayed to a 4 p.m. opening for game day parking. Fans can check the opening times of their specific lots at UHCougars.com/parking.
Additional game day parking in immediate proximity to TDECU Stadium have been secured to accommodate the Houston Football fan base.
Additional cash lots for the game will be available at 4:00 p.m. at the Texas Southern University East Parking Garage (Tierwester Street between Alabama & Cleburne Streets) and TSU Lot S4 (Tierwester Street between Alabama & Cleburne Streets).
Normal game day shuttles will run to and from the UH Welcome Center and Lot 16B with a third shuttle added for the alternative cash lots at TSU.
A reminder to fans, Cullen Boulevard will close from Holman Street to Cougar Place, in both directions, at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Single-game group ticket sales for the 2015 Houston Football season are now on sale via Houston Athletics Fan Experience Headquarters. Groups of at least 10 or more can purchase tickets starting at just $17 per person to any of Houston's six remaining home games by calling or texting Fan Experience Headquarters at 713-GO-COOGS or by clicking here.
OCT. 8 HOUSTON-SMU GAME DAY PARKING
With Houston's rivalry game vs. SMU scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, game day and campus parking will be affected to accommodate fans, faculty/staff and students on the University of Houston campus.
