Football Homecoming Jerseys to be Auctioned Off

HOUSTON - For the fourth consecutive year, Houston Athletics, Cougar Pride and the University of Houston Alumni Association will auction off the game jerseys worn during the Cougars' annual Homecoming game.
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of former quarterback Andre Ware winning the Heisman Trophy, the Cougars will wear uniforms from the 1989 season. The 2014 Cougars meet Tulane on Saturday, Nov. 8, inside TDECU Stadium at a time to be determined in late October.
The red jerseys feature large white numbers with navy blue outlines and three horizontal white stripes with blue outlines on each sleeve. Approximately 100 jerseys will be on sale in the auction.
Proceeds raised from the auction will benefit student-athlete scholarships at the University. The auction begins at 12:01 a.m. (CT), Oct. 2 as the Cougars prepare to open American Athletic Conference play vs. UCF and continues until 1 p.m. (CT), Nov. 14.
In addition to the Homecoming jerseys, autographed helmets, two tickets and two pregame field passes for the Nov. 22 game vs. Tulsa and a Case Keenum autographed jersey will be available in the auction. A year ago, the Cougars unveiled Scarlet and Black uniforms during this annual event, winning by an average of 23.0 points per game in victories against American Athletic Conference rivals USF and SMU inside Reliant Stadium.
Off the field, the auction raised nearly $40,000 in revenue for student-athlete scholarships.
2014 FOOTBALL MINI PLANS
For those Houston fans who are unable to make it to TDECU Stadium all season, three-game mini plans are available for purchase for $99.
The three-game mini plans give Houston Football fans the ability to secure tickets for the Oct. 2 game vs. 2014 Fiesta Bowl champion UCF, and any other two games this season. The remaining four games for UH fans to pick from consist of 2013 bowl game participants UNLV and Tulane along with Temple and Tulsa. SINGLE GAME TICKET INFORMATION
Single-game ticket sales for the inaugural season in TDECU Stadium go on sale on Tuesday, Aug. 5, via the Houston Athletics Ticket Office. Reserved seats start at $36 per person to any of Houston's seven home games, including 2014 Fiesta Bowl champion UCF, and can be purchased by calling the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647) or by clicking here.
YOUNG ALUMNI TICKET INFORMATION
University of Houston alumni from the last five years (2010-14) can purchase season tickets for just $125 (upper levels) and $175 (lower level) in specially designated Young Alumni sections with a multiplier of four times donations to Cougar Pride giving levels for the first five years after graduation.
Each ticket consists of a $25 Cougar Pride donation with the four times Young Alumni multiplier, resulting in a $100 donation credit and a Cougar Pride parking pass in the TDECU Stadium Garage. Young Alumni can purchase tickets here or by calling 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647).
GROUP TICKET INFORMATION
Single-game group ticket sales for the inaugural season in TDECU Stadium are now on sale via the Houston Athletics Ticket Office.
