EUGENE, Ore. - Junior John Horton wrapped up the 2014 NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships this afternoon earning All-America honors with a collegiate best jump.
The triple jumper from Killeen, Texas, sealed his fate to advance to the final round with his second attempt of the day. Horton leaped a personal best of 15.97m (52'-4.75") and moved into first place after two attempts in the first flight. He dropped back to third to close out the first flight and awaited flight two results before receiving three more attempts.
