Track & Field Wraps Day One at Nationals

EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Houston track and field team wrapped day one of the 2014 NCAA Division I National Championships in Eugene, Ore., this evening.
The men's 4x100m relay team of LeShon Collins, Errol Nolan, James Arnett and Cameron Burrell ran a 39.65 in heat two of three. The quartet's time wasn't fast enough for the finals, but the Cougars ran its second fastest time of the season. Their time in the semifinals was the 16th fastest time of the day and earned them All-America Second Team status.
Senior Errol Nolan ran a 47.23 in the men's 400m semifinal while teammate Michael Mahnke didn't clear the opening height of 5.10m (16'-8.75").

Houston Track and Field continues competition on day two as freshman Cameron Burrell competes in the men's 200m semifinal at 6 p.m. (CT). Hurdlers Issac Williams and Sade-Mariah Greenidge will also be competiting tomorrow as well as the men's 4x400m relay. A full schedule of Houston Athletes is provided below.
