Errol Nolan Punches Ticket to NCAA Nationals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Senior Errol Nolan has punched his ticket to NCAA Division I Track & Field National Championships in Eugene, Ore., in the men's 400-meter dash.
He recorded a time of 46.26 to qualify for the national meet, the last qualifying spot of the day. This marks Nolan's fourth consecutive trip to Eugene as a 400m qualifier and his sixth total appearance at a national meet. His last trip to nationals was in 2012 where he ran a personal best 45.28 to place ninth and second team All-America status.
The Rosenberg, Texas, native joins fellow senior Michael Mahnke who qualified for nationals in the men's pole vault yesterday afternoon.
QUARTERFINALISTS
In the sprint hurdles, sophomore Issac Williams qualifies for the 110m hurdles quarterfinal tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. He snagged the automatic qualifying spot winning his heat with a time of 13.83, the eighth fastest time of the day. Junior Sade-Mariah Greenidge also nabbed an automatic qualifying spot in the 100m hurdles after winning her heat with a time of 13.64. She had the 10th fastest time of the day.
Freshman Cameron Burrell has automatically qualified for the 200m quarterfinal tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. after finishing third in his heat with a time of 21.15. On the women's side, Ngozi Onwumere and Tori Williams both qualified in the 200m. Onwumere picked up the automatic qualifying spot as she finished third in her heat with a time of 23.68. Williams earned a qualifying spot after tying her personal best time of 23.99.
UP NEXT
Houston concludes the NCAA Division I West Prelims tomorrow. Both 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams will compete for a shot at a national championship bid. The meet kicks off at 6 p.m. with the men's 4x100m relay followed by the women's at 6:15 p.m.
In the field events, the men's triple jump and the women's high jump are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. A full schedule of Houston's competitors can be found below.
