HOUSTON HEAD COACH Tony Levine
"Really, really proud of our young men. Came on the road in a hostile environment. We were anticipating fifty thousand fans. They were loud they were into the game we fell behind early. Going into the game we talked about what the environment was going to be like. Field position would be important."
"We put our defense in a tough spot early with two turnovers. Basically with our backs up against the wall we got down fourteen to zero. We didn't panic ended up making some plays. We made some adjustment at half time. The thing we talked about going into this game was turnovers and against a very, very good Memphis team certainly on offense.
"I think Through five games Memphis only turned the ball over 5 times. We created 5 in tonight's game. We won the turnover battle. We talked about penalties. We were averaging 9 to 10 penalties a game tonight we only had 3. We felt if we got good special teams and field position even if we had to punt our defense could give us a chance."
About the play where Greg Ward Jr. had a big run and his abilities to extend plays
"He has a great ability to extend plays. We gave him some designed runs. We talked about offensively all week and I said it publicly, some of our best runs were where Greg was involved in were designed passes. There's either coverage or pressure on the play and Greg takes off."
