Greenidge Named Conference USA Female Athlete of the Week

HOUSTON- University of Houston sophomore hurdler Sade-Mariah Greenidge has been named Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Female Athlete of the Week as the league office announced Tuesday.
At the prestigious Penn Relays, Greenidge ran a season-best of 13.35 to place fifth overall in the women's 100-meter hurdles. This performance is currently tied for 10th on the NCAA Division I West Outdoor Qualifying List of the Track and Field Results Reporting System. She is also tied for 24th in the nation and sits at No. 5 on the program's all-time list.
In addition to running the 100m hurdles, the Bridgetown, Barbados, native competed in the women's 400-meter hurdles. Greenidge ran a personal and season-best of 1:00.37 to place 14th overall and first in her heat.
This is Greenidge's first C-USA Female Athlete of the Week award. Mark Jackson of UTEP was named Male Athlete of the Week.
