Nolan Named Conference USA Track Athlete of the Year

HOUSTON- After a storied senior season, University of Houston track and field sprinter Errol Nolan was named Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Year by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
The Rosenberg, Texas, native claimed the award after winning a national title in the men's 400-meter dash at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships with a time of 45.75. In the preliminary round, he topped his competition by running a school-record breaking time of 45.72. At the conference meet, he took home gold in the men's 200m and 400m for the third time in his career.
The three-time All-American becomes the fifth athlete in program history to earn this accolade and the first since Ivan Diggs in 2008. Nolan won the award last year during the outdoor season.

A LOOK AHEAD
The Cougars will continue their outdoor season and take part in the Victor Lopez Classic on Friday and Saturday at Rice.
