Cougars Conclude Day One of NCAA Indoor Championships

HOUSTON - Tai'shea Reese places 16th in the women's long jump and Errol Nolan advances to the final round of the men's 400m dash on Friday at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Nampa, Idaho.
Reese entered the meet ranked 15th with her mark of 20-6.25. She was unable to top that mark on Friday as she finished 16th in her first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships with her jump of 19-5.25.
Nolan was able to advance to the finals in the 400m dash after finishing in the top-8 with his time of 46.29. Nolan, who was seeded third entering the meet, is slated to compete in the 400m finals at 6:55 PM on Saturday. Tony McQuay of Florida set the top mark of the day with his time of 45.85.
The third Cougar competing at the NCAA Indoor Championships, Megan Frausto, will begin competition at 11 AM on Saturday with the 60m hurdles, the first event of the women's pentathlon.
