Case Keenum IN THE NCAA RECORDS BOOK
1. With 467 yards (458 pass, 9 rush) of total offense, senior quarterback Case Keenum moved into fourth place in NCAA career history... Keenum now has 15,255 yards of total offense... He moved past Texas' Colt McCoy (14,824, 2006-09)... Up next in the NCAA records book is Texas Tech's Graham Harrell, who compiled 15,599 yards from 2005 to 2008.
2. Keenum also moved into fourth place in NCAA history in all-time passing yardage (14,354), surpassing Hawaii's Colt Brennan (2005-07, 14,193 yards)... Up next in the NCAA records book is BYU's Ty Detmer, who posted 15,031 yards from 1988 to 1991
3. With five touchdown passes, Keenum moved into a tie for sixth place with Florida's Danny Wuerffel (1993-96) with 114 career TD throws... Up next in the NCAA records book is Louisiana Tech's Tim Rattay, who threw 115 touchdown passes from 1997 to 1999.

4. With 458 passing yards, Keenum recorded the 27th 300-yard game of his career... It was his second-straight performance of more than 300 yards after passing for 310 yards against UCLA on Sept. 3.
5. Saturday's game was the 13th 400-yard game in Keenum's career.
6. With 458 passing yards, Keenum posted his highest single-game total since throwing for 527 yards at East Carolina during the C-USA Championship Game on Dec. 5, 2009.
7. With five touchdown passes, Keenum posted his 28th multi-touchdown game. It was Keenum's first game of passing for at least five touchdowns since facing Texas State on Sept. 4, 2010.
8. With Saturday's win, Keenum improved to 26-13 (.667) all-time as the Cougars' starting quarterback... Keenum tied the school career record for wins, held by Kevin Kolb (2003-06).
OFFENSIVE NOTES
9. Senior wide receiver Justin Johnson set a career high in receiving touchdowns (two) and receiving yards (87), passing his previous high of 68 yards against Southern Miss on Nov. 20, 2010.
10. Senior wide receiver Tyron Carrier recorded a reception in his nation-leading 41st consecutive game, every game of his collegiate career.
11. Senior wide receiver Patrick Edwards recorded a reception in his 36th consecutive game.
12. Edwards posted eight catches for 187 yards, climbing to fourth all-time at Houston in receiving yards (2,953), surpassing Orlando Iglesias (1997-01) and Brandon Middleton (1999-03). Edwards also moved into fifth in pass receptions (210), passing Jason Phillips (1987-88) and Donnie Avery (2004-07), and tied for fourth in touchdown catches (24).
13. Edwards' 187 yards set a new career high, surpassing his 177-yard effort at Texas Tech on Nov. 27, 2010.
14. Five Cougars recorded their first career receptions in Saturday's win... That group included junior Dewayne Peace, sophomore Darian Lazard, freshman Mark Roberts, junior Braxton Welford and freshman Daniel Spencer.
15. Thirteen different players recorded at least one reception game... That group included Patrick Edwards, Justin Johnson, E.J. Smith, Tyron Carrier, Ronnie Williams, Daniel Spencer, Michael Hayes, Isaiah Sweeney, Mark Roberts, Darian Lazard, Dewayne Peace, Gino Collins and Braxton Welford... That is the highest number of receivers in a game since 14 Cougars caught a pass in a 73-14 win against Conference USA rival Rice on Nov. 28, 2009.
16. Senior quarterback Cotton Turner threw the first interception of his Cougar career early in the fourth quarter... It snapped a streak of 76 straight passes without a pickoff.
17. Senior running back Michael Hayes recorded rushing and receiving touchdowns in the same game for the third time during his Cougar career... Hayes accomplished the double dip twice in games during the 2010 season.
18. The Cougars accumulated 694 yards of total offense (503 pass, 191 rush)... That's the highest total since the Cougars posted 695 yards in a 46-45 win against C-USA rival Tulsa on Nov. 7, 2009.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
19. Junior defensive end Kelvin King recorded the first fumble recovery of his career.
20. The Cougars limited North Texas to only 289 yards of offense (119 rush, 170 pass)... That is the lowest yardage total by a Houston opponent since Northwestern State finished with 263 yards in a 55-7 Cougar win on Sept. 5, 2009.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
21. With his 27-yard field goal in the second quarter, junior kicker Matt Hogan recorded his ninth consecutive field goal dating back to 2010... Hogan has not missed a kick since missing a 41-yard effort against C-USA rival UCF on Nov. 5, 2010... Hogan also has connected on 13 of his last 14 field goal tries. Hogan was 2-of-2 on the night to improve to 29-of-32 for his career and a perfect 29-of-29 under 40 yards.
22. Hogan moved into fifth place all-time in kick scoring with 190 career points.
23. Sophomore Shane Ros recovered his first-career fumble when the Cougars punted to North Texas with 8:03 remaining in the first half, setting up the first Houston score of the game.
24. Roberts tallied his first-career block on an extra-point attempt in the fourth quarter, marking the 18th blocked kick in the Kevin Sumlin era.
