Cougar Pride Year In Giving

HOUSTON - This holiday season, you can help support a deserving student-athlete with the gift of an education and get a little something for yourself in return.
You can receive a 2011 tax deduction and 2012 Cougar Pride benefits for any unrestricted (scholarship) gift donated in person by the end of business Thursday, Dec. 22. Please note, the University will be closed Dec. 23, 2011 through Jan. 1, 2012.
If you can't donate in person, there are also many other ways you can donate. Gifts can be made over the phone by calling Cougar Pride at 713-743-GOUH (4684) until 4 p.m. CST Thursday, Dec. 29.
Donations can also be mailed to Donor & Alumni Records, PO Box 867, Houston, TX 77204-50656. Mailed checks must be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2011 to qualify. Credit card information mailed in must be received no later than noon Friday, Dec. 30 to reflect 2011 gift credit. Any gifts received after this date will be processed in 2012.
Another way to give to Cougar Pride is through stocks. For instructions on making a stock gift, please contact Amy Marks at 713-743-9837 or almarks@uh.edu. It is in your advantage to give instructions to your broker well in advance of the end of the year.
