TEAM NOTES
** With Saturday's win, Houston enjoyed its school-record 18th consecutive win on John O'Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium, the nation's fourth-longest active streak among all Football Bowl Subdivision teams... The Cougars have not lost at home since a 37-35 setback to C-USA rival East Carolina on Sept. 29, 2007.
** The Cougars improved to 2-0 in Conference USA play for the second time in the last four seasons... Houston started 2-0 in league play in 2008.
** The Cougars scored a touchdown on their opening drive for the third time through the first four games... Houston punted on its opening drive at UCLA on Sept. 18.
** Houston improved to 85-91-3 (.483) all-time during the month of September.
SERIES HISTORY vs. TULANE
** Houston improved to 12-4 (.750) all-time against Tulane.
** Houston improved to 6-2 (.750) all-time against Tulane in Houston.
** With Saturday's win, Houston has won its last eight games against Tulane... That is the longest active winning streak by one Conference USA team against another league rival... Houston has not lost to Tulane since a 34-13 decision at Robertson Stadium on Sept. 7, 2002.
** This was the ninth straight season and 14th time in the last 15 years that the Cougars played Tulane... The two teams did not square off in 2001.

** True freshman quarterback Terrance Broadway made the first start of his collegiate career.
** True freshman quarterback Terrance Broadway became the first true freshman to start at quarterback for the Cougars since Kevin Kolb against Rice on Aug. 30, 2003.
** True freshman quarterback Terrance Broadway became the first freshman to start at quarterback for the Cougars since Case Keenum against TCU during the Texas Bowl at Reliant Stadium on Dec. 28, 2007.
** With 123 rushing yards, junior running back Bryce Beall recorded his second 100-yard game of the 2010 season and the eighth of his career... The Cougars improved to 8-0 when Beall reaches triple-digit rushing yards.
** With four rushing touchdowns, junior running back Bryce Beall recorded a career best... His total topped his previous best of three touchdowns set against C-USA rival UTEP (Sept. 10, 2010) and at SMU (Oct. 18, 2008).
** With four touchdowns, junior running back Bryce Beall recorded his third multi-touchdown game of the 2010 season and the seventh of his career.
** With 24 rushing attempts, junior running back Bryce Beall set a personal best.. His total
** With three receptions, junior wide receiver Tyron Carrier recorded a catch in his 31st consecutive game.
** With his interception around the 8:30 mark of the first quarter, sophomore linebacker Philip Steward recorded the first pickoff of his career.
** With two interceptions, cornerback Loyce Means' recorded his second and third pickoffs of the 2010 season and the eighth and ninth of his career.
** With two interceptions, senior cornerback Loyce Means recorded his first multi-interception game of the 2010 season and the second of his career (vs. Tulsa, Nov. 15, 2008).
** Senior cornerback Loyce Means' 42-yard interception return for touchdown in the fourth quarter was his second return for touchdown during his career (69 yards, vs. Tulsa, Nov. 15, 2008). ** With his blocked field goal at the end of the third quarter, junior tight end Wesley Scourten recorded his first blocked kick of the 2010 season and the fourth blocked kick of his career... It also was the third blocked field goal of his career.
** Sophomore kicker Matt Hogan's missed 47-yard field goal at the 11:41 mark of the third quarter was the first miss of his career... It snapped his school-record streak of 16 consecutive field goals to open his career.
** Freshman punter Richie Leone's 63-yard punt in the fourth quarter was a career long... It topped his previous long of 57 yards at UCLA (Sept. 18).
