* True freshman quarterback David Piland threw at least one touchdown pass for the sixth straight game to open his collegiate career.
* With three touchdown passes, true freshman quarterback David Piland recorded his fifth multi-touchdown game through the first six games of his collegiate career.
* Piland has thrown for at least three touchdowns in four of the first six games of his career.
* Piland has thrown for at least 250 yards in all but one game (233, at SMU, Oct. 23) to date.
* With 140 receiving yards, junior wide receiver Kierrie Johnson recorded his first 100-yard game of the season and the third of his career... It was his first 100-yard game since racking up 104 yards at No. 23 East Carolina on No. 23 East Carolina.
* With one touchdown reception, senior wide receiver James Cleveland now has 19 touchdown catches during his career... Cleveland moved into a tie with Donnie Avery for seventh place in Houston career history... Up next is current teammate Patrick Edwards, who has caught 21 touchdown passes since 2008.
* Junior wide receiver Justin Johnson's 14-yard touchdown reception at the 13:17 mark of the second quarter was the second receiving touchdown of the season and his career.
* With four receptions, junior wide receiver Tyron Carrier moved into a tie with Donnie Avery (2004-07) for fourth place in school career history... Carrier now has 211 career receptions... Up next in the Houston records book is Manny Hazard, who caught 220 receptions from 1989 to 1990.
* With four receptions, junior wide receiver Tyron Carrier recorded a catch in his 37th consecutive game, every game of his collegiate career.
* With 17 rushing attempts, junior running back Bryce Beall moved into third place in Houston career history... Beall now has 488 career rushes... Up next in the Houston records book is Anthony Evans, who rushed 492 times from 2002 to 205.
* With 11 tackles, junior linebacker Marcus McGraw moved a tie with David Hodge (1975-79) for sixth place in Houston career history... McGraw now has 350 tackles in less than three seasons... Up next in the Houston records book is David Hodge, who recorded 377 tackles from 1975 to 1979.
* With his interception at the 11:39 mark of the second quarter, junior cornerback Jamal Robinson recorded his first interception of the 2010 season and the sixth of his career.
* Sophomore linebacker Phillip Steward recorded his second interception of the season and his career around the 7:42 mark of the second quarter.
* Freshman linebacker Efrem Oliphant made the first start of his collegiate career... Oliphant finished with a career-high 15 tackles against the Golden Hurricane... His total topped his previous best of 11 set against Texas State on Sept. 4.
