HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Houston Athletics Department and Cougar Pride announced this week the eighth year of the Houston area "Coaches Road Tour." This year UH Athletics will host two stops in the Houston area; Tuesday, July 28 at Skeeter's Mesquite Grill at 750 Gulfgate Mall (I-45 South and 610) and Wednesday, August 5 at the 5529 Weslayan Skeeter's location.
Football head coach, Kevin Sumlin; a member of the men's basketball coaching staff depending on their recruiting schedule; and baseball head coach, Rayner Noble are currently scheduled to appear at the first event. Coach Sumlin and new Director of Athletics, Mack Rhoades will attend the final event. UH coaches will discuss last season, and what to expect for the upcoming year and the second event will be Mack Rhoades first public event as the Director of Athletics.
Each event begins at 5:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available each night. The current plan is to continue the road tours with Mack Rhoades and various coaches in the fall at some of the other Skeeter's locations around Houston.
