TEAM NOTES
** With 37 points, the Cougars scored in their 95th consecutive game... The Cougars have not been shut out since a 48-0 loss at Texas on Sept. 23, 2000.
** The Cougars' 90-yard drive that was capped at the 6:03 mark on redshirt freshman wide receiver Tyron Carrier's 9-yard touchdown catch was the longest of the season for UH... It topped the Cougars' 89-yard, touchdown drive to start the fourth quarter against Southern on Aug. 30.
** With Saturday's loss, the all-time series against Oklahoma State now stands at 9-9-1... The two teams have split the last four games.
** With 93 total points, Saturday's game was the highest-scoring game in the all-time series against Oklahoma State... It topped the previous high of 52 points set in a 28-24 loss to the Cowboys on Nov. 18, 1961, in Stillwater, Okla.
** Saturday's game was the first meeting in Stillwater since a 28-12 Houston win on Sept. 20, 1986.
** The Cougars fell to 78-88-4 (.471) all-time when playing in the month of September.
** The Cougars fell to 1-4 (.200) all-time when playing on Sept 6.
** The Cougars fell to 17-43-3 (.294) during their all-time road openers.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
** Sophomore quarterback Case Keenum has now thrown 170 consecutive passes without an interception dating back to the 2007 season... The Abilene, Texas, native has not thrown an interception since the first quarter against C-USA rival Marshall on Nov. 17, 2007.
** With 387 passing yards, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum recorded the third 300-yard passing game of his career... The Cougars fell to 1-2 (.333) in games in which Keenum reaches 300 yards.
** With 387 passing yards, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum recorded his third consecutive game with at least 300 passing yards... He became the first Cougar quarterback since Jason McKinley (at Rice, 349 yards, Oct. 24, 1992; at LSU, 354 yards, Sept. 9, 2000; vs. Army, 336 yards, Sept. 16, 2000) to accomplish that feat... Jimmy Klingler was the last quarterback with four consecutive 300-yard passing games from Oct. 24-Nov. 21, 1992.
** With 61 pass attempts, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum set a personal single-game best... His total topped his previous high of 43 attempts set against Southern on Aug. 30.
** With 106 receiving yards, redshirt freshman wide receiver Patrick Edwards recorded the first 100-yard receiving game of his career... The Cougars are 0-0 during games in which Edwards reaches triple digits.
** With eight catches for 106 yards, redshirt freshman wide receiver Patrick Edwards set personal single-game highs in both categories... His totals topped his previous highs of four catches for 55 yards set against Southern on Aug. 30.
** With his 2-yard touchdown run at the 5:36 mark of the first quarter, freshman running back Bryce Beall (pronounced Bell) scored his first career touchdown.
** With his 6-yard touchdown catch at the 5:41 mark of the second quarter, senior wide receiver Mark Hafner recorded his third receiving touchdown of 2008... It also was his second straight game to catch at least one touchdown pass... He became the first Cougar to record touchdown catches in consecutive games since Donnie Avery against Rice (Oct. 13, 2007) and at Alabama (Oct. 6, 2007).
** With his 9-yard touchdown catch at the 6:03 mark of the third quarter, redshirt freshman wide receiver Tyron Carrier recorded the first touchdown of his career.
** With two touchdown receptions, redshirt freshman wide receiver Tyron Carrier enjoyed the first multi-touchdown game of his career.
** With a 7-yard touchdown catch at the 12:20 mark of the fourth quarter, sophomore wide receiver L.J. Castile recorded his second straight game with at least one touchdown catch... He joined teammate and senior wide receiver Mark Hafner as the first players to accomplish that feat since Donnie Avery against Rice (Oct. 13, 2007) and at Alabama (Oct. 6, 2007)
** With eight catches, senior wide receiver Mark Hafner set a personal single-game high... His total topped his previous bests set against Southern (Aug. 30, 2008), at Tulsa (Nov. 10, 2007), vs. Marshall (Nov. 17, 2007) and at Tulane (Sept. 15, 2007).
** Senior safety Ernest Miller's interception around the 6:25 mark of the second quarter was his first and the team's third interception of the 2008 season... It also was Miller's third interception of his career.
** Senior safety Ernest Miller's 71-yard interception return around the 6:25 mark of the second quarter was the longest return of his career... It topped his previous long of 10 yards set at Conference USA rival Rice on Sept. 2, 2006.
** Junior safety Brandon Brinkley's interception at the 9:30 mark of the first quarter was his first and the team's second of the 2008 season... It also was Brinkley's fourth career pickoff.
** Senior linebacker Cody Lubojasky made his 41st consecutive start dating back to the 2005 season opener... That is the nation's longest active streak.
