2008 Houston Cougars Football Postgame Notes

TEAM NOTES
** With 42 points, the Cougars scored in their 101st consecutive game... The Cougars have not been shut out since a 48-0 loss at Texas on Sept. 23, 2000.
** The Cougars are 10-4 in the all-time series against Tulane... In addition, the Cougars are 5-2 all-time against Tulane in Houston.
** The Cougars are 123-897-4 all-time when playing in the month of November.
** The Cougars are 44-46 all-time in C-USA games.
** The Cougar are 2-8 all-time when playing on Nov. 8. UH has not won on Nov. 8 since a 47-14 win over Tulsa during the 1969 season.
** The Cougars are to 9-1 (.900) all-time in games televised by CBS College Sports/CSTV and have won their last eight games televised by that network... The Cougars have not lost a game on CBS College Sports/CSTV since a 35-20 setback against C-USA rival Memphis on Oct. 15, 2005.
** The Cougars are 15-3 all-time against the C-USA West Division.
** The Cougars set a season-high with their 693 yards of total offense. The previous high was 621 yards against East Carolina on Sept. 27.
** The Cougars set a season-high in rushing yards with 299 yards. The previous high was 220 against East Carolina on Sept. 27.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
** With four touchdown passes, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum has thrown a touchdown pass in 12 consecutive games.
** With four touchdown passes, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum recorded the 12th multi-touchdown game of his career.
** With 384 passing yards, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum recorded his 10th straight game with at least 300 yards to extend his school record.
** With four touchdown passes, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum posted the 50th, 51st, 52nd and 53rd touchdowns for which he was responsible during his career to move into sole possession of fourth place in UH career history... Up next in the UH records books is Andre Ware (1987-89) who was responsible for 81 touchdowns during his career.
** With his 15-yard touchdown run at the 8:34 mark of the second quarter, freshman running back Bryce Beall recorded his fifth straight game with at least one rushing touchdown... He became the first player to accomplish that feat since running back Joffrey Reynolds from Oct. 12 to Nov. 16, 2002.
** Senior safety Kenneth Fontenette and senior defensive end Phillip Hunt each made their 48th consecutive starts dating back to the 2005 season... Fontenette and Hunt moved into sole possession of sixth place in UH career history... Up next in the UH records book are Kade Lane (2002-05), Donnie Avery (2004-07) and Perry McDaniel (2004-07), who each started 49 consecutive games during their careers for the second-longest streaks in school history.
** When he entered the game in the second quarter, freshman Ryan Tennison saw his first action of the season.
** With his receiving touchdown in the first quarter and his rushing touchdown in the second quarter, freshman Bryce Beall has recorded a receiving and rushing touchdown in two consecutive games.
** With his second rushing touchdown in the second quarter, freshman Bryce Beall recorded his 10th touchdown of the season, breaking the single season record of nine held by Case Keenum (2007) and Jackie Battle (2003).
** With 176 rushing yards, freshman Bryce Beall set a career-high and set the freshman record for rushing yards in a single game.
** With his 49-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, junior Tim Monroe scored his first career touchdown.
