HOUSTON - The Houston track and field team sent four athletes to Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Twilight Invitational on Friday.
Sophomore Jennifer Harper finished fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.95 and teammate sophomore Seun Adigun finished second in the section one finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.85.
A pair of freshman hurdlers placed in the finals for the men's team. Leading the way was LaMarcus Hunter who turned in a sixth place finish in the section one finals with a time of 8.26. Chaston Johnson won the section two finals with a time of 8.47.
The Cougars will return home to Yeoman Field House to host the Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championship on Feb. 23-24. The meet will begin at 9 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday with the awards presentation scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. on Feb. 24.
