Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at Arkansas Invitational

HOUSTON -- The University of Houston track and field team opens the 2007 Indoor season at the Arkansas Invitational on Jan. 12 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. UH will send 32 athletes to the invitational from the men and women's teams.
Teams competing at the invitational include Baylor, Jackson State, Kansas State, Missouri Southern, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas A&M, UT-Arlington, St. Gregory's and the host Arkansas.
The field events will begin at noon with men's shot put and the women's long jump and will run until 6:30 p.m. The running events will begin at 1 p.m. with the unseeded women's mile run and will conclude at 8 p.m. with the men's 4x400 relay.
Houston will return to Yeoman Fieldhouse Jan. 19 for the Leonard Hilton Memorial.
