Today I woke up and ate breakfast before I had to get taped for practice. Then we had meetings to watch yesterday's practice film.
Like I said last night, we had a good practice and got a lot accomplished there. We practiced like a team that was ready to dominate a game. Everyone was running to the ball and doing their assignments with little or no busts.
After meetings, we left to go to Saginaw High for another practice. It was a practice that was mostly meant to focus on the mental aspect of the game. Again we all put forth a ton of effort by running to the ball and finishing every play. We had to because we were only in helmets.
Mentally, everyone was focused and determined to do what they had to do on each play for us to be successful.
From practice, we went back to the hotel to get our bowl gifts. We got a Fort Worth Bowl backpack, a Fort Worth Bowl football with the schools and date on it, a 7-inch portable DVD player, a Fort Worth Bowl watch and a blue, long sleeve Adidas shirt that we have to wear to the downtown pep rally tomorrow.
After about an hour of free time, we went to meetings to watch practice film from today.
This evening, we went to a restaurant called Reata's. We had our choice of beef tenderloin or chicken breast, and I chose the steak. It was really good, and I was very happy that I finally got to eat a steak on the trip. Then we walked back to the hotel from Reata's, and I had to talk to some people from ESPN before I relaxed for the night.
