Six Cougars Claim C-USA Academic Medals

A total of six University of Houston student-athletes earned Conference USA Academic Medals during the 2003-04 academic year, it was announced today by C-USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky.
The medals are given to C-USA student-athletes who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above during the academic year.
Women's swimming and women's soccer led the Cougar Academic Medal winners with two each.
Broken down by sports, the honored Cougars are as follows: Men's Track - Fred Day; Women's Soccer - Jennifer Dry and Sarah Fisher; Women's Tennis - Kami Miller; Women's Swimming - Szintia Szanto and Stacey Williams.
