Student-Athletes Set to Graduate This Weekend

Eighty-nine University of Houston student-athletes will receive their diplomas this weekend as a part of commencement exercises to celebrate the completion of bachelor's degrees.
This spring?s class is highlighted by the graduation of four former Houston greats, who returned to school to finish their degree work. Former Phi Slama Jama greats Clyde Drexler and Michael Young will participate in graduation ceremonies, as will football stars Allen Aldridge and Chuck Clements, who star for the Detroit Lions and Ottawa Renegades (CFL), respectively.
Prior to their graduation, all 89 graduates will be honored by the UH Athletics Department on Wednesday, May 8, at the Athletics/Alumni Center, in a special event that is closed to the public.
