Foster and Smith Shine At USATF Junior National Championships

Foster finished second in the men's 200 meter dash with a time of 20.96 seconds and fourth in the men's100 meter dash in a time of 10.35 seconds.
Smith finished seventh in the women's 100-meter low hurdles with a time of 13.90 seconds and was also seventh in the women's 400-meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 1:02.92.
As a second-place finisher in the 200 meters with a world qualifying time, Foster is a finalist for the USATF team that will compete on the international junior tour.
The international junior tour will consist of two meets in Canada, the first NACAC (North America, Central America and the Caribbean) meet for athletes under 25 years August 3-5 in Monterray, Mexico. The tour will climax at the IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships in Santiago, Chile October 17-22.
