Thirty-Six C-USA Players Selected in XFL Draft

After Maryland's Scott Milanovich and Florida State's Casey Weldon were taken with the first two selections, three consecutive quarterbacks from C-USA were chosen. The Memphis Maniax selected former East Carolina signal-caller Marcus Crandell, the Orlando Rage took Louisville's Jeff Brohm and the Las Vegas Outlaws chose Chuck Clements, who led Houston to Conference USA's first football championship.
Of the 36 players chosen, a league-high 20 were taken by the Memphis Maniax, including nine from the University of Memphis, the most from any league school. Players from seven of the nine C-USA schools were selected, including seven each from Houston and Louisville. Army and UAB were the only teams that did not have any players taken.
